Tips on how to find them: Call includes a loud, rasping sound; can be seen hovering over the water in mid-air as it looks for fish; breeds in Ireland during the summer months and winters in Africa; one of the best places to find this species in Ireland is at Kilcoole beach in Co. Wicklow.
